Venture across the border into neighbouring Botswana to one of Southern Africa's most famous national parks - Chobe. Legendary as the former haunt of Africa's notorious big game hunters as well as the dazzling Chobe River with its unparalleled herds of elephants, the park continues to brim with game. Four of the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo) are present plus giraffe, zebra, warthog, numerous antelope, crocodiles, hippos, over 500 species of bird and much more.

Elephant Interaction
The exclusive Elephant Café, awarded Zambia’s Best New Restaurant 2016, is built on a wooden deck in the Zambezi River, upstream from Victoria Falls in Livingstone, Zambia. Sitting only 24 people, it is the centre point of a riverside location that has been home to a herd of hand-reared elephants for many years. The Elephant Café offers African fusion food, created with wild and locally- sourced ingredients, inspired by European, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Pack your binoculars and camera and head into the small, but wildlife-packed Mosi-oa- Tunya National Park for a 3 hour game drive. Expect to see excellent Elephant sightings as well as Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest and much more. Crucially, the park is home to the only white Rhino in Zambia and, if you are lucky, you may get a chance to see these rare animals whilst travelling through the park. Birdlife is also prolific year round and you may get the chance to see hippos and crocodiles lying on the banks of the Zambezi River during the drier months.

Horse Riding
Our favourite way to see the wildlife in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is on a walking safari - an interactive safari style pioneered in Zambia - which culminates in the opportunity to see the endangered white Rhino just metres away on foot. Following a short game drive into the park, disembark your vehicle and tie your shoe laces, ready to walk deep into the bush. There is always the chance of encountering bigger game (including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, warthog and various antelope) and therefore all walks are accompanied by an armed national parks scout in addition to a professionally qualified walking guide. Sightings of the rhino are guaranteed on all walks as they are monitored by the Zambian Wildlife Authority around the clock as part of anti-poaching efforts.
