Victoria Falls Backpackers Zambia

Livingstone boasts a wonderful abundance of wildlife. Elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, giraffe and various antelope as well as a large range of bird species can be found along the Zambezi River and in the Mosi-o-Tunya National Park.

The Chobe National park is home to the world's largest Elephant population, amazing wildlife, and Africa's largest predators: Lions, Leopards and Wild dogs. Choose form a day trip to camping in Chobe National park, under the canopy of 200 million stars… Transfers, daily game drives, Chobe river boat cruises, refreshments, meals and transfers included in all excursions.

Certainly our favourite way to see the wildlife in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is on a walking safari - an interactive safari style pioneered in Zambia - which gives you the opportunity to see the endangered white rhino just metres away.. Following a short drive into the park, safety talk sorted, ready to walk deep into the bush. Livingstone's walking safaris will take you up close and personal to Zebra, Giraffe, Kudu, Wilderbeest, various buck, Baboon, Warthog and plenty more… There is much to learn and experience in the bush, the guides are knowledgeable on the flora and fauna, including the medicinal properties and application in the lives of the local people.

Venture to the Livingstone Reptile Park, home to a wide variety of captured freshwater crocodiles, including some of Livingstone's most notorious man-eaters. Enjoy a guided tour of the farm, gaining an insight into these fascinating and much misunderstood creatures and have the opportunity to watch them at their daily feeding time. The property also houses an interesting collection of Zambia's most dangerous venomous snakes.

You will have the opportunity to meet the herd, learn their stories and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime close encounter with these gentle giants before you are welcomed into The Elephant Café for a unique dining experience with Chef de Cuisine Annabel Hughes and her team who specialise in creating a foodie’s delight of fresh locally-sourced food and wild edibles.
